June Update

Hi all! June was National Safety Month and it was a perfect time to conduct our Safety Week. Our corporate office started the Safety Week with our CPR Training class that happened on June 5. It was fun as we did our first in group training after a year of social distancing. The training was engaging and hands on, as we practice on "George", the manikin. We even learned that the song, "Staying Alive" and "Another One Bites the Dust" are actually a 100bpm song which can be helpful when doing the CPR.  After the CPR class, we then conducted our Safety Week Training. We setup our training outside the parking lot of Railroad and held each training for every department. They all have their designated schedule and it is  a mandatory training for everybody. We covered our RAMAR policies, provided Safety Videos such as Proper Lifting Techniques, Slips, Trips, and Falls, Ergonomics, and Safety Driving Techniques. March Update

Hello all, March is almost over and a lot has happened within this month. On the beginning of the week, we have conducted rapid testing for our employees. The first was at Dairy location, then we went to Garcia, and next was at Central. It was a success as everybody's results was Negative .  Next, we have distributed our Safety Bucks gift card to everyone with their choice of Safeway $50 or Seafood City $50. This is a treat for everybody staying safe for the past year, 2020, during the ongoing pandemic. Then, we had conducted our Safety Walkthrough's with our retail store of Magnolia Treats - South San Francisco and Dairy department. Both locations had positive feedbacks as they have maintained their work areas clean and organize. They also follow COVID-19 protocols which is a requirement as part of our company's COVID-19 prevention plan. Though there are areas that needs to be improved on, but overall, they had provided solutions on some previous concerns that were seen

February Update

Hello Ramarkables!! A lot has happened during the past month. Through this blog, you can pretty much catch up with what you missed from our Safety corner. Let's start with February . Mid-month of February, we started to roll-out our Safety Tags which is one of the highlights for our COVID Prevention Plan. This bracelet serves as a contact tracing for employees who became positive for COVID.    Through this tag, we can easily detect who are the individuals that came into contact with the person who is positive. Once we identified the people that came close with that person, we can immediately send them over to clinics to get them tested for COVID. Next great news last February was the announcement of the government that they have started administering COVID-19 Vaccines to Food and Agriculture industry which falls under the Phase tier1B. Many have been anticipating the arrival of the vaccine. At first, it was tough since there were only limited vaccines and appointments get booked
